The Fairy-Tale Kingdom of Krasík the Snail is a game for children run by MAS Moravský kras (the local action group). It isn’t a single place but a network of fairy-tale offices across the region: information centres, museums, chateaux, hotels and guesthouses. At each one you can pick up a travel passport, collect stamps and swap them for rewards. 3 stamps earn a pairs game, 6 a wooden coin and 9 a book about Krasík’s adventures. There are also several short Krasík trails, ranging from 0.5 to 10 km. The passport and map can also be downloaded from krasik.cz. The operator is refreshing its offices in 2026, so check before you set off that yours is up and running.

Children in the Karst enjoy the caves, but not for a whole day. Krasík is a good way to get them to a chateau, a museum or a walk they would otherwise grumble through. The stamps give them a clear goal, with a reward at the end. And because the offices are scattered across the region, it works well for a longer stay, too.
How it works
- The passport. Pick one up at any of the fairy-tale offices, or download and print it from krasik.cz. You’ll find a map of the whole kingdom there as well.
- The stamps. At every fairy-tale office, you get a stamp in your passport.
- The rewards. 3 stamps earn a pairs game featuring Krasík the Snail, 6 a wooden coin and 9 a book about his adventures. Rewards are handed out at the offices that list them.
The kingdom has two parts: a Czech one, stretching from Brno to Protivanov, and a Slovak one around the Slovak Karst, between Moldava nad Bodvou and Rožňava. The website also has Krasík’s fairy tales, colouring sheets, pairs games and puzzles to download.
Where to get your passport and stamps
The fairy-tale offices are mostly in places you’ll be visiting anyway. Here is a selection of locations in the Karst and its immediate surroundings where, according to the project’s website, you can get a passport, a stamp and rewards:
- Moravian Karst Nature House (Dům přírody Moravského krasu) at Skalní Mlýn, by the Punkva Caves. See Skalní Mlýn.
- Blanka Information Centre in Blansko.
- Windmill Museum (Muzeum Větrný mlýn) in Rudice. See Rudice.
- Hotel Stará škola in Sloup.
- Křtiny Chateau and Penzion Starý pivovar in Křtiny. See Křtiny.
- Veselice Tourist Information Centre (TIC Veselice), by the Podvrší lookout tower. See Podvrší Lookout Tower.
- Penzion U Hraběnky in Petrovice.
- Keramika Lucie in Šošůvka.
- Hotel Olberg in Olomučany.
- Boskovice Region Museum and the Boskovice information centre. See Boskovice.
According to the project’s website, only a stamp (no passport or rewards) is available at Rájec nad Svitavou Chateau and the Blansko Region Museum (Muzeum Blanenska) in Blansko Chateau. Further offices can be found in Letovice and Velké Opatovice.
Krasík’s trails
Krasík has his own walks, too. Each one starts at one of the offices, and a trail description can be downloaded as a PDF from krasik.cz/vylety.

Tips
- Call ahead. The operator’s website warns that the offices are undergoing changes in 2026 and recommends checking that yours is open. Contact for MAS Moravský kras: tel. 605 040 810, registracemasmk@seznam.cz.
- Opening hours of the offices follow those of the museums, information centres and hotels they are housed in. Many of them are closed outside the season.
- Combine it with a cave visit. At Skalní Mlýn you can get your stamp at the Nature House before your tour of the Punkva Caves, and in Sloup at Stará škola on your way to the Sloup-Šošůvka Caves (Sloupsko-šošůvské jeskyně).
- For a three-day trip: the passport fits well with our itinerary for families with children. Most of the offices are in places the itinerary passes through anyway.
