Accommodation with a pool and spa in the Moravian Karst: 14 tips

For an indoor pool that’s open all year round, the Karst and its immediate surroundings offer mainly Hotel Kras in Jedovnice (right on Olšovec Pond) and OREA Resort Panorama in Blansko (indoor and outdoor pool). Further from the caves, but with a large spa, is Hotel Sladovna in Černá Hora. If you’re after a sauna and hot tub without a pool, you can choose from Hotel Rech in Blansko, Hotel Stará škola in Sloup or the peaceful Statek Samsara. In summer, a guesthouse with an outdoor pool is all you need, such as Ubytování u Macochy in Vilémovice. At some hotels the spa is charged separately and must be booked in advance, so check when you make your reservation.

A pool or a sauna comes in handier in the Karst than you might think. The temperature in the caves is around 7–10 °C all year round, and after two tours, warm water is a real treat. And when it rains, the children have something to do even without a day out. The ratings for each tip are taken from Booking.com as of 12. 10. 2026 (guest score out of 10 and number of reviews). Indoor pool, open all year round

Hotel Kras, Jedovnice

Guests praise the pool with its adjustable floor, where even smaller children can have a swim, and the children’s playroom. Some apartments have their own hot tub. Outdoor pools are open in summer only. For a summer holiday with children, though, they’re often better and cheaper than a hotel.

Booking tips

• Ask whether the spa is included in the price. At some hotels it’s charged separately or booked by time slot. Booking states this in the property description or in the room conditions.
• Outdoor pools are for summer only. For spring, autumn and winter, look for an indoor pool (Hotel Kras, OREA Panorama, Sladovna, Za plotem).
